ORIGINAL: Britinastang

Same here, all is well with mine....except for that archiac inability to run tracks without a 2 second pause in between...never known such a thing.
Seriously! My Shaker never skips (unless the disc is scratched) but that 2 second gap is pathetic! I had a discman in 1994 that would play connected tracks, but the Shaker can't do it.

Ever listen to Dark Side of the Moon in your Stang? It's very annoying, you're enjoying a song and when it should smoothly transition into another song... PAUSE ........ then it starts playing again.

WHAT !!!

What exactly is this? If I have a CD with two songs with only a 1 second separation, it won't play the second song, and will repeat the first one? WHAT? People have known how to build CD players for 15 years. How do they get this wrong? Is there a fix??

Mine doesn't skip. It just decides to lock up like a windows computer. The radio will be on, no volume, non-responsive buttons. Then shuts off and won't come back on. half hour later, it comes on and acts normal. Has happened twice since I had the car and I know it won't happen if I take it to the dealer. I'll get the NTF (no trouble found), see you later routine.

Anyone experience anything like this from their radio?

I have the 1000. The gap between songs is pathetic, especially considering what they charge for the Shaker. My cheap little 30 dollar jam box doesn't even do that.
And yes, it totally kills the mood on something like "Dark Side of the Moon".

I hope mine doesn`t start acting up. We usually take our IPOD along when we go places.

Mine skipped the first weekend we had it but hasn't skipped since. Only been a few weeks though. Anyone have the TSB number? Didn't see it in the TSB list

I think you are misunderstanding what we are talking about. Some CDs have no gap in between tracks, one flows right into the next (i.e. every track on Dark Side of the Moon). The shaker automatically puts a gap in between the tracks that doesn't belong there. Totally Ghetto.

mine only skipped for a few weeks... havent skipped since... i do however have a different problem with my radio... when i go to start my car and it dosent quite start and i have to wait and retry and then it starts my radio is delayed for like 30 seconds. examples: when i go to change the song it changes 30 seconds later. when i go to turn the volume down it goes down 30 seconds later.

has anyone else had this problem???

Windveil... thanks for the clarification... the gap sounds like a pain, but at least it's better than not playing the song. I have to look at using my Ipod in the car. I rarely use the Pod unless I am traveling overseas (makes those 15 hour flights a lot easier), this might be a chance to see how it works in the Stang.

Have you tried playing MP3 discs on the Shaker? Seems like it would be convenient to have 150 songs on one disc, and be able to organize them via a folder structure.
