Default GT take-offs duals installed!

I had the shop cut out the y-pipe and replaced it with an h-pipe, fabbed the mid-pipe for the driver side, Used one bracket from the right muffler to help with alignment on left side. Then he fabbed the other hangers.

I notched the bumper myself with a dremel. It was easy just nerve racking making that initial cut. But I'm glad I did, the sound is just what I wanted.

Thanks to all who supplied the sound clips, tutorials, and suggestions. They were a big help.

And here's the icing on the cake.......

GT take-off mufflers $88.00 (shipped from Diversified Marketing off EBAY)
Labor for install $100.00

Total-----------------$188.00 [sm=smiley20.gif]

Living in a small town has its advantages! No outrageous labor cost!!

I'm in Texarkana, TX Went to ET's Muffler and Auto Repair.

Be sure you figure out the cost of gas to get here! You might still end up paying $600 with gas prices so high.. [sm=smiley36.gif]

Believe me, I was totally shocked when he told me the cost! I was expecting 200-300 like most were paying.
He actually quoted me $75 over the phone for the install , but upped it to $100 after he looked at my car.
It was the first '05-6 V6 he's put duals on. And what's even more cool, is that he drives a 2004 Mach1 !!

one question ? did he install clamps at the "H" or is it all welded? i hope he installed clamps so that it can all be removed. if you ever need service to your trany or to replace the fuel tank it helps.
