Default Removed "rental Badges"

I just removed my rental badges and now it seems like I have small scratches down the entire outline where they were...Rubbing compound or what for a fix. Why would there be scratches outlining them?

Were they just glued on or 3M tape? I would love to get rid of mine too.

mine were vinyl attached with a mild adhesive. I just peeled em off on a summer day and used Goo Gone to get rid of the residue.

Back in da day...a very, very hot towel would soften up the residue and it would just wipe off!

I dont mean residue...it looks like someone outined them with something sharp! But yeah they came off very easy and it was chilly outside. Trying some goo gone and wax today report back later. BTW..I ran a carfax report on my car and it didnt mention a rental place being the owner how can I tell who really had my car first??

Polish with an orbital buffer will work the best for removing sratches. They make different "grits" of polish depending on how deep the scratches are. Use the more agressive polishes on the deeper scratches and work your way up to a finer polish, then put a coat of wax on it.

Took mine off this weekend. Cleaned with GooGone, washed and cleaned-polished with Dri-Wash. Cannot even see where they were.
