Default GT Take Off Muffler

I have read several posts that say you can replace the stock V6 muffler with the stock GT muffler and get a much deeper growl. Is this true? Does the GT muffler simply bolt on or is there further modification needed? Also, any advice on the best place to purchase a GT take off. Im not interested in doing the full duals, just replacing the single.

Aside from the 10,000 clamps holding the V6 muffler in place they are a direct swap and very easy to do, aside from all the ^&##%@@&^%$ clamps of course.

He will do u a great deal on the mufflers, like 88 bucks for the pair, not entirely sure if he would see just 1, because he would be left with the drivers side muffler that NO ONE would want to purchase.

then again he might.. hes that kinda guy. ask him to include shipping and tell him "the british guy, Paul Fay sent me"

I just did the swap, a GT take off single on my V-6 convertible. I love it. I put a note on the GT forum and found a guy willing to send me his take-off for the price of shipping. A local shop did the swap, did a beautiful job and I love the result. Add a K&N drop in filter and you will be thrilled with the final results. Great sound, not obnoxious and it should perform better then the stock arrangement.
