CAI/Tuner question....I hear hear the sighs
I know everyone gets tired of the CAI/Tuner questions and wished people would do the search button thing but, bare with me... If I get a CAI now, one that doesnt require a tune, is it going to make that much of o HP diff when I get around to getting a tuner? I know it would be better to get them all at once but I am kinda bouncing between performance/Appearance mods right now and since I have a scoop on the way I really want C-scoops next. So is it ok to get a good "no tune required CAI now and get a tuner later? Any big diff ?

Doug did a dyno of the AEM, which requires no tune. It showed that the intake with a tune gets the same gains as the stock air box with a tune.
You could always get the tuner first and the intake later. Just make sure the folks you buy it from have tunes for the intake you're interested in getting down the road.
Methinks it's best to decide now... as Howie might say... tune... or no tune...?

RE: CAI/Tuner question....I hear hear the sighs
I just bought a C&L intake and tuner from evolution. He was out of the C&L for a few weeks, so, I ordered a 93 stock tune, 93 C&L tune and 89 C&L tune. You can do the same. Order from a dealer that does C&L tunes, and have him put one NON-C&L tune on the box (probably a 93 tune), and then 2 more tunes for the C&L. Use the non-C&L tune now, and later, flash one of the CAI tunes.
