Default Second time at the track... just got home!

Got to Portland International Raceway quite a bit earlier than last week. The sun was still shining for the first couple runs.

Before leaving to the track, I upped my front tires to 40 psi and downed the rears to 30 psi. I would have gotten my front tires higher, but my air compressor is really slow and I got impatient! LOL! And darnit... I forget to take out the spare!

First run I was up against a paint-pealing off POS 5.0L Mustang with a lovely engine... 13.595 to my 14.913.

Second run was a quick Subura... no contest there... 12.872 to my 14.978. Not a great run on my part, put my best reaction time to date (.060).

I took a bit of a break to watch from the stands and enjoy the sunset.

The third run was around dusk against a previous generation Eclipse GT. He got me off the line, but after that it was all over. 16.197 to my 14.921. Here's a viddy of this run... http://www.transcendingtouch.com/mus...vs_eclipse.mp4

Now the sun was down and the temperature was cooling. The line was also much longer which cooled the car down more.
A kid in some sorta Honda wanted to race... I assumed he had some sort of boost since there was a cluster of gauges near his dash. I thought... easy kill... I was right. http://www.transcendingtouch.com/mus...6_vs_honda.mp4

Here are the vitals from the time slip...

some sorta honda thingie -- vs -- me

R/T -- .961 ---------------------------- .555
60' --- 2.597 --------------------------- 2.139
1/8 --- 10.210 ------------------------- 9.464
MPH -- 71.78 -------------------------- 74.09
1/4 --- 15.690 ------------------------- 14.794
MPH - 88.23 -------------------------- 91.27

At first, I was bummed that I couldn't break out of the 14.9's. My previous best was 14.885. I wasn't going to leave until I got back into the 14.8's. Did it and then some!

And still... whatta rush!!!

I'd be so happy to match ya! That'll take a few more tweaks to get this auto of mine rollin' better. 5 months is a long time! How often are you getting out to the track in the hot weather?

i dont see more than 3 or 4 runs in the summer months, just not worth the stress on the car to not improve on my times. Now the only exception to that would be, if i were puttin down 340rwhp with a certain pt61 feeding my car lol
