i don't know why none of the v6's have them. I wanted a manual with the side airbags and when my dealer did an inventory search there were only 4 manuals in michigan that had side air bags and they were colors i didn't like so they brought mine in from indiana. I think it is stupid to not get them.

I had to special order mine for the same reason - nowhere nearby had the side airbags. In fact, there were a lot of option packages I saw that I thought were dumb. Basically, I think that either the dealers were just stupid, or they felt they'd have an easier sell if every option was a visible 'look' upgrade.

Simple answer to that: most dealers figure V6 buyers are trying to save a few bucks, so they shy away from extra cost options that don't add eyeball appeal on the lot. I had a hell of a hunt to find my V6 Premium 'vert with a full option load (the only thing I didn't want was the optional red interior).
