saleen front sway bar

saleen front sway bar
Well, I installed the GT front sway bar which is 34mm in diameter compared to our stock 28.6mm. That in addition to my rear sway bar from Hellwing which I installed 2 weeks ago. Took the car around some sharp turns and all I have to say is WOW. I don't feel any leaning at all now. The only problem that I did notice are the crapy stock tires do not want to hold on to the road and start to skidd easily if I am not carefull. I was thinking of getting wider tires for the rear to compensate and leaving the front ones alone.
I strongly recommend getting a bigger sway bar in the front after adding rear one.
My input.

Glad to hear it, I plan on doing the same. As for leaving the front tires alone, I think if you do that you'll find you'll have some major understeer problems, especially with stickier tires on the back.

RE: saleen front sway bar
When you say stock tires are you talking about the 16's or the stock Pirelli's from the GT? I also have the Hellwing and am considering the GT front from Saleen but I have the Pirelli's. I hope they stick, I don't want to buy new tires until I wear these out!

I do my own work :-) Changin sway bars is a very easy task. To change the front one you need an 18mm wrench, 8mm wrench and a 15mm deep socket. Takes 20-30 min if you get enough clearence in the front. I jackedthe front and lowered it back to ground before final torque.
My tires are stock 16" and I don't want to switch to GT rims because of extra 32lb unsprung weight :-) If I get a 235/60 tires in the rear thats only 6lb of extra unsprung weight and should be ok.
I am one of those, who beleives that light is better and ended up adding 25lb of sway bars :-) but handles so goooooddddd.
