Default Paintless dent repair

Last week I found that someone just so happened to hit the rear panel on the driver's side just above the reflector with what I assume was a car door, so now I have a nice 3 inch vertical line there. I know there have been postings on paintless dent repair before, but I wanted to see more recent experiences with it and if it's worth it. Also, if anyone knows of a good place to do so around the Lansing, MI area, that'd be great. Thanks.

If the dent hasn't broken the paint, paintless dent repair is a great option. Depending on the location and severity of the ding, they can work miracles.

If it's in a bad spot, they can still often greatly diminish the dent.

Ask your favorite, trusted body shop or Ford dealer who they use.

I had a similar dent to whay you describe and had it removed by a paintless removal guy; it looked great for about a month and then came back. I haven't gome back to him yet and I don't know if this is typical but it was my first and only experience.

I had two dents in drivers door removed at a detail shop, they had a paintless dent repair specialist there. I told him no insurance forms, and I would pay cash, cost me $80. These were deep dings from the wind catching the door and swinging it open into the yellow steel square pipe that Quick Trip uses to protect their gas pumps from drunk drivers running them over. I was impressed with what the paintless dent repair folks can do. Compared to the 200 to 300 dollars to paint a fender or door, this is really cheap. Tell em no receipts and no insurance, you'll pay cash...and ask for a cash discount.

just had a nickel size dent taken out of my passenger side rear panel just above the body bend and ahead of the wheel

he drilled a small hole in the wheel well above the tire(which he plugged). It took him about 20-30mins and cost $80

BEST 80 I have spent. You cant see the dent at all. If you know where to feel you can feel where he popped it out a touch to far but I am super happy with it. Defiantly worth the money
