Should I have bought the GT

RE: Should I have bought the GT
Actually the mpg difference between the two cars is not a valid argument in my opinion. The V6 gets 19 city, 28 high way and the V8 gets 17 city, and 25 high way. But get what you want. I like being different personally. But to me, a stang is a stang.

True...but gas prices can impact those few miles into hundreds a year...(depends on driving styles of course!)

Rygen...see Babes, beer & mods! The three necessities of life!!!!! (LOL)

You're right, that is one way to look at it. Looking at the numbers side by side, it dosent seem that much, but 3 gallons can easily equate to $10 bucks or more with the gas price hikes. That's a movie ticket, some beers at a bar, 10 bucks towards your next fill up, 10 bucks towards your next mod. Yea, I can definitely see your point.

I too have that nagging feeling. Not that there is a darn thing wrong with the V6 at all. I've said it before on other posts, but the thing is, now that I've had a taste for the speed and power, I want more, like pretty much all of us on these forums. The thing with me though, is I have no experience with modding or any thing like that. So in my case personally, it would have probably been better and more convenient to just have the extra "go" right out of the box. That's just me though. It's different for everyone.

Thats because she wanted 8!

If you ask yourself that, then the answer is yes. I should have gotten one as well, but I have to be level headed and wait until it makes sense to upgrade. I'm 23 now, by the time I'm 25 this thing will about be paid off and the insurance on a v8 will come down a lot. So truth be told: I'm waiting for the 09's to get my first v8 :P. Until then I'm pretty pleased with my purchase.
But you know what? For everyone guy who asks "why you didn't get a GT", there is one girl who doesn't care whether it's a GT or not. I don't know about you, but only one girl has ever called me on it being a six.

RE: Should I have bought the GT
For me, my V6 is a starting point for me. The way I have my financing set up, I'll be able to keep this car and make additional payments here and there to pay off the car faster. And in a few years, when I'm getting more pay and a little more stable money-wise, I'm planning on trading this car in and getting something with more power. But right now, I have a great looking car with good power and I'm not overburdened with bills which would have happened to me if I went with the GT.

RE: Should I have bought the GT
I don't regret getting a GT for one minute. Sure, a blown/juiced GT may make me feel bad.... but none seem to be hanging with me right now!!
The other thing I like, is that it seems our engines take a little more than the GT engines. I attribute this to the GTs having all-aluminum blocks.

RE: Should I have bought the GT
Why stop at the GT. Get the GT500 and then no one can say anything. There's always a faster car out there no matter what you own. Iff you arent happy then get a GT and stop fretting over it. How fast do you really need to go from one red light to the next.
