Default Gas Milage

Ever since I put Royal Purple and a k&n drop in air fileter I've been getting alot worst gas milage. Usually I was at like 230-260 miles when the gas indicator was on the lower part and 10 gallons would go in, now I'm on about 170 miles and its lower than half on the indicator and same 10 gallons go in at the fill up......

Maybe feeling the extra power has you driving more aggressively. Give it a few tanks and when the novilty wears off you'll probably see better economy.

I had the same problem in mine when I first switched to Mobil 1. After the 3rd tank I am now back up to my 24.1mpg that I was at before, but it dropped down to 20 for 2 tanks.

Strange, because my milage improved a bit since I put in Royal Purple oil and trans fluid. Past 4 days my average on freeway and city went up 1-2 mpg. I reset the mpg guage in the morning and take the average when I arrive home. Same route everyday 70/30 freeway(traffic)/city(San Francisco). My avarage is 22-23 before oil change and seems better now. Will keep an eye. You should disconnect your battery for 30 sec and reconnect. Reset the computer and let it relearn since you mentioned another air filter. Possibly running rich or you are harder on accelerator now to feel extra power :-)
