Default Swapping out the v6 for a v8?

Does anyone have any links to interesting engine swaps into the new mustangs? Looking down the road, I would like to eventually put a hot small block in my 06 Pony Package...after I get it paid off of course.

I think my car would be a lot of fun with a 400 horse, carbureted small block...headers, true duals, ford 9 inch, etc. Or maybe throw and old school roots blower on it....

That sounds like a fun idea. Your car would still need to meet emission standards for its year. In many states its against the law to tamper with emission components.

No emission laws in Kansas so thats not a problem....I just want to look forward to making it my hot rod in the future.

Thats nice not to have to pass emissions it can be a pain specially if you drive older cars and trucks.
I saw a factory Mustang with a big block in it. It was being driven by a Ford rep. It was dark green and had a 460 in it that was also emissions legal. I think it was 1993 or 94.

Kansas won't be able to hide forever, you're going to get it just like the rest of us. We didn't have emissions testing here in Texas until... 10 years ago? I forget exactly when now. But up until that point we were boasting about how we didn't have to deal with all that BS like other states.

The only engine swap I've seen on a V6 was a very impressive one, someone transplanted a Ford GT motor into one! Not a Mustang GT, the supercharged Ford GT! Awesome!!
