I searched for "IPOD" within this forum prior to posting. I have a Shaker 500 system and would like to be able to connect an iPod (or MP3 player) to it. In one thread someone mentioned that you could hook it up in the back? Has anyone done this? How does it connect? I am so sick of CD's. They're everywhere, all scratched to sh*t with busted cases.

Everybody I`ve seen on websites have been using the P.I.E. products adapter.

Thanks, tsaints1115. I Googled PIE products and it led me right back to MF... I hadn't noticed the audio section of the forum (Doh!).

I think you can get the pie adapter off the ford website, since you have a 2006.

Sounds good. I might even get the dealer to install the thing. I hate the idea of tearing apart my new car.

I'd like to know about this as well. The sales rep at wilson corneleus told me that it comes factory equpped with it but I didn't really look around in the car and ask him more about it.

I just put the PIE ipod adapter in mine. It was easy. Take out the center console trim with two screws, remove the radio trim 4 screws and 3 or 4 plugs, 6 screws hold radio. Install harness, solder in + & - wires. If you do it I can even tell you which wires you solder into, just don't know off top of my head right now. I know that sounds simplistic, but it was easy.

My friend and I did it in 1hr. Only problem I had was now there is a blinking airbag light on the control panel (Code 23). I am gonna try just disconnected the battery and hopefully that will clear it out.

Also, instead of soldering I used some wire tap splitters from radioshack. Works perfect!
