Default Ready for duals

I am finally ready to step up to duals. I currently have a GT take off on my car right now (nice difference from stock) when I bought my take offs I also got the pipes that run over the axle to the h-pipe. I have the hangers for the drivers side muffler. Do I need anything else? I am assuming I can take it to a muffler shop to have the pipe and muffler installed. Can they just cut the stock y-pipe and make a custom H-pipe? Or do I need an h-pipe from a GT?

If you are considering going to a muffler shop to install...... I am assuming that you are not a metal fabricator.......

The "H" pipe will have to be fabricated, I would ask your muffler shop if they do that type of work... and how much.

The "Y" pipe will have to be cut, and due to de way the cat pipes are fitted..... the "H" fitting is not really a perfect "H" it would definately have to be custom build.

Good luck!!

So for those of you who have converted to duals using stock take off's did you have to fab an h-pipe or is there a way to do this with the y-pipe?
