Have anyone installed a fuel pressure gauge (electrical) on the pony?

If so, where did you attahed the sending unit? imagine fuel rail somewhere, but was there an adaptor or some other piece where it can be afixed?

The directions indicates/.... For Ford fuel injected applications with a Schrader valve in the fuel rail.......

NO we do not.... You need to purchase one. I've seen them for about $40-50 ( but they include gauge / which I did not use - using StewartWarner gauges instead. I have not seen them alone for less than 40$ so figured might as well have a spare gauge in the basement - lol)

I am learning that post 2003 Ford stopped using them.... some people are hooking up to the Service port on the fuel rail.....

Not sure if we have one of those...... (all I need to thread is the sender...) but I guess I'll keep on looking.

BTW where did you hook up the Schedrer Valve.... tapped into the rail?.... or do we have something else that I am not thinking about?

Thanks screaminyellin6

I had my car in the shop yesterday to get my new plugs put in and we figured we'd start looking at how to setup these new gauges I also picked up. The F/P gauge is a real biatch!! When we put the valve block up to where it is supposed to be mounted - it is evident that it will not clear the manifold!! It was already 6 on a Friday evening, and my wife was home alone all day with the new baby .. so I couldn't really fiddle around with them to see what to do... So I have to go back next week ( I took a few days off and see how to get this gauge setup. Dan did mention about getting into the fuel rail as well.. but need more time to look at it. Damn!!! Anyone else have any ideas?!?!?

I got the steeda one ( my shop had an extra block and said I could have it - and honestly it looks just like the ones you linked to ) The problem is the 2005 Mustang GT has the location for the block without any obstructions and the blocks fits in without any issues. On the 4.0 V6 it would sit just under the manifold and once you add the extra space from the block- it will not clear - so that seems to be the predicament - unless someone has an extremely slim line block ???

All I have is the sender unit..... a threaded fitting in one end and the wires on the other.....(1/8" NPT Sender)

The instructions simply say if it is not a Ford Schreder valve..... simply attach to fuel rail....HUH???
It is the "z" series from autometer. The EUGO AEM will requiere a welded connector in the exhaust before the cats to place the bosh wideband sensor..... I am sure it is gona be fun.....
