The sound of a V6 and a V8
So, I love the sound of the V8 right? It's a beautiful sound, gorgeous car
But....I couldn't afford a V8, so I had purchased a V6 instead, beautiful car
But... The sound is obviously completly different and by sounds I mean the sound of the engine and the exhaust, the ROAR!!!!! Hah.
So, what could I change in my Mustang to make the V6 sound substantially different, be a V6, but sound like a V8, or possibly even louder! I want it to be a pure sound, something that'l shake the F'ing ground =).
Anyways any help is always appreciated, unfortunetly i'm supposedly binded by warranty to have my car done by a Ford Dealership because I have an extended warranty and all that good stuff, and i'm definetly not very intelligent when it comes to the internals of cars, I wish I was, but unfortunetly I never had the chance, so i'm trying to learn now.

RE: The sound of a V6 and a V8
I think it's OK if people want to ask a question that has been asked before. I usually first do a quick search of my keyword up top, but then I go ahead and post the question. I've heard people suggest that this clutters up the forum, but who cares? It's not costing anything (in fact, I might even go ahead and become a contributor...). I've been on some really snobby forums before, and it's obvious that some people have to compensate for their lack of a life by policing online forums. Very sad. Anyway, I'm glad to be here, welcome to the forum PlayBoy, please feel free to share your 2 cents worth anytime.

Thank you sir.
I have also seen snobby forums before, and being unsure of any new forum I always try to step with my best foot forward. But everyone here seems very well educated on performance and upgrade option of Ford Mustangs, and everyone has been very curtious to me as well! I try to search before I post, but no matter what comes up, I usually can't always pin-point the exact answer i'm looking for (whatever it may be).
Thank you for welcoming me to the forum, as a proud new Mustang owner I can say with complete assurance that it is my honor.

RE: The sound of a V6 and a V8
So, continuing with my first post.
What would be the best parts to add/change to increase the sound of a v6 to a v8 or more.
I want to get a dual exhaust, if anyone can recommend a brand/price that I should be looking for it would be very appreciated.
I got my Mustang at Ken Grody's in Buena Park, CA. They have a LARGE number of Roush's, Saleens, and even a GT.
But the down draw is because of my warranty (I can't void for personal reasons) I must get all my modifications done to "Ford Standard Specifications" meaning they're going to charge me $200.00 more then everyone else!
Thanks in advance,
Josh Jones

NICE COLOR by the way, now, if ur going with duals are u gonna have the gt reap bumper put on??? forst want arround 600 for this (painted and installed) where as u can but it painted and installed for arround 260... and im sure body work dusnt void warrenties. thats one thing to consider, the other thing is, a dual exhaust shouldnt void a warrenty either, its things like tuners and cai's that void and i dont think u can get anything like that that WONT void it... unless u have ford S/C it for you
