Like several others recently, I just recieved and installed my Blue Oval STB. It was a very simple, quick install. Maybe 5-10 minutes. It looks great, I'll post some pics tomorrow, and give a review of how it feels. My only concern is that it does press into the hood liner noticeably. I can't see any bulge on the outside when its closed but can feel a bit of pressure. Any thoughts on whether it will be ok or if there are any negative effects of this? Thanks in advance.

Nobody? I really don't want to be driving around with it on there if its doing damage. Is there any way to maybe bend it a little bit to straighten it?

Hi,

I had same issue with my blue oval stb, just put one end under a heavy pallet, then lifted up on the other end to straighten it out a littl, did this to each end, just eyeballed it, anyway it lowered it enough that it doesn't touch the hood, and still has about 3/8 inch clearence from the top of the intake manifold.
