Default What is Tramming?

So I'm looking into new tires and wheels (per everyones suggestions on the first step to improving corning!THANKS!) and I think I'm going to get some deep dish 18's from mustangtuning.com and the suggested tire size is 255/45/18 tire size so after looking up some different choices I really like the Pirelli PZero Nero m+s (good choice?) and some reviews says they had "tramming problems" All I know is it has something to do with wheel width?

Tramming is:

Two things...

Either - due to design being to stiff, the tire will "Wander" based on road surface, or will tend to want to follow groves in the road.

and...

due to a bad tread design, the tire will want to "Wander" rather then roll stright ahead.

In either case - Tramming is when a tire tries to go a direction other then where you direct it to go based on road surface.

It isnt caused by the tread pattern even though the Nero's are asymetrical, it has to do with the shape of the tire, which is kinda like a box, the tread area is FLAT. So when you go over some uneven pavement itll make the car wander, this is the case with ANY low profile tire. The lower the profile the worse itll wander. And for the people that talked about them "tramming" is this their first REAL sports car? It must be because I can say with certainty that EVERY REAL sports car with low pros will do that. Ive driven everything from vipers, to carrera 4's, to corvettes to AMG CLK's (its nice to be a valet). Neros are a good tire, theyre meaty as hell, good traction, treadwear, only thing Id suggest is get em all the same size so you can rotate them, otherwise the treadwear will suck for the back ones.
