He's full donkey sh*t. My pony package is a stick which is fun to say..."my package is a stick" LOL Ok juvenile yes I am. Deal with it. Go elsewhere or stay there and go over his head. With making statements like that just to get you to buy what he has left he doesn't deserve the commision anyways.

I was playing around on the "build your Mustang" page on ford.com (LOL don't ask me why, I already have one), and on the CONVERTIBLE when you add the Pony Package, it says you must have auto transmission. But not for the coupe. What's the deal with that, I wonder? maybe this is new in '07?

It may be that on many "pervertables" there are extra frame stiffiners used to keep the body square. No Lid welded on. Maybe they can ony get and automatic in it.

No, it's just a glitch on the site. There have been plenty of glitches on Ford's site.

Rule 1 of buying a new car: The Dealer knows NEXT TO NOTHING about the car. Hell, even Ford's national customer service line didn't know that the Pony Package came with a rear sway bar. There are exceptions to the rule, but they're few and far between.

Trust me, if you walk in and tell them what's what, they'll either find you a car that matches what you want or they'll order it for you. Then it's just a matter of waiting a couple of months for the factory to crank out your car.

Sent Ford an email with the question and got an answer. Looks like the dealer AND the Ford Website are wrong. It can be done. It's probable, however, that dealers just don't want to do it. Plus, it means that one can't do it on the spur of the moment.

Questions: I would like to buy a V-6 Mustang convertible with the Pony
Package. A Ford dealer told me that the Pony Package on a convertible is
only available with the automatic. The Ford Website automatically changes
the transmission to automatic when the Pony Package is selected on the
convertible. So, the question is, can one buy a V-6 convertible with a
manual transmission and the Pony Package

Mines an 06 Pony package with a stick. And the dealer i bought it from a three of them in stock.

yeah dealers these days dont really know whats goin on sometimes...when i went to buy mine they told me that i could only get it in leather seats...and that a manual wasnt an option. Also they said that they didnt make the pony package in black. Odd, because i got a BLACK pony package with dark CLOTH seats and a 5-SPD MANUAL....or maybe they were just trying to sell me on the 10 other pony packages they had on the lot that were blue/red/silver etc, and autos with leather. No thanks, i'll take my 5-spd.

yea some dealerships have no respect for anyone's needs in a car. There just like no don't have it here but you'll love this one. Like your a 12 year old kid who will just jump on it say ok. I can't wait to get a car from a dealership someday..NOT LOL. I got mine from a private seller. The time will come one day though.

Go to www.fordvehicles.com, select "locate a dealer", type in city and state, and you can see all the dealers in your area.

I've seen plenty of coupe pony packages with manual, but I've yet to see a convertible pony package with manual. Convertibles with manual are a realitive rarity anyhow.
