Default Proper way to race

I was driving today, breaking in the new mufflers and a silverado truck next to me thought I was racing him[:@]. Whatever. So I though no problem Ill just blow by him. From a dig no problem, but from a roll he kept up very very well. I have an auto and was wondering what is the best thing to do in a time when you need just a little more oomph to break up a deadlock? OD off, drop it in third?

the OD off doesnt really help if you really want some oomph, you will probably need to put it into 3rd, or maybe even 2nd depending on the roll speed. if you are ever in a empty road you should just try putting your car in different gears and hitting it. 2nd gear will make your neck hurt from a 20mph roll at around 3k rpm

OD off will help you out from a roll, but from a dig.. nada bromigo.

From a dig, just use your 1-2-3... noticed she's much more responsive.

If you have an auto then dont mess with the o/d and 1,2,3 in the middle of a race, you'll probably end up slowing yourself down. Just let your auto do its job and if its not fast enough just buy more mods. A cai will greatly complement the new exhaust.

Now you will probably get chewed out for racing and put on a guilt trip for almost killing someone's kid so dont take offense...

traction control doesn't do **** froma roll man....there is no point in turning it off or on. Unless you have enough power to break loose from a roll, it won't make a difference and you don't have that power, so just drop it down into 2 or 3 and go.

bull****. TCS is operational up to ~60mph and any detected difference in the speeds of the rear wheels or lateral momentum of the car will trigger it.

if you are racing and doing crazy turns on the streets, you wanna keep tcs on or have a passanger with their finger over it.

I think the proper way to race is to not to race on the street. Are there tracks where you live?
