Has anyone heard of plans by any of our mod suppliers to offer long tube headers for our 4.0L V6? Before I order my JBA shorties, I thought I'd ask. I'd be bummed if long tubes were just around the corner and I spent my $$$$ now.

I think mac has long tube headers, let me find a link.

They offer them at http://www.v6mustangstuff.com/05V6Headers.htm but since you have a whole JBA exhaust setup I would stick with the JBA shorties.

Ex13 had them on his car, I heard them with MAC high flow cats, a MAC prochamber and two MRT mufflers. Lets just say...LOUD.....also some rice mixed in there as well. But yes, MAC makes them, and Excessive said the quality on the LT's was good.

exception13 sold me his MAC LTs, high flow cats, and prochamber. I'll be installing all of it next week and I'll take some videos and post them. Im curious as to what its going to sound like both with my cutouts, and my saleen mufflers.

I think it will sound good with the Saleens. The MRT's are the loudest mufflers on the market for our cars...most likely, and that combined with headers and a prochamber probably pushed it over the edge for resonating.

Thanks for the info! I guess I'll stick with the JBA shorties. I've heard too many stories of Mac's inconsistant quality. The price of the JBA titanium coated ones has come down significantly ($500) on Ebay.

Yea I heard that the MAC's didn't have as good of a fit as the JBA's plus I know JBA has been around for a little while and they do some awesome work! I'm saving up for some right now I know that if you go to www.autoanything.com they have Titanium Ceramic coated headers for the V6 for $589 whereas they are usually about $639.

Supposebly the MAC LT's are much higher quality than their shorties. I'll let everyone know how the install goes next week.

I meant the MAC shorties I didn't even know MAC had LT's for the V6 until reading this post, yea man let us know how they go!
