I agree he should have not said(typed) it

but your making me look like a liar..........lol j/k

I do however have some questions
why is it so important to see who has the best CAI/Tuner?
Do you already have one?
If you find out through this one is better then yours are you planning on getting the better one or just go FI and then not care at all?

I promise you I am not trying to be an *** I am just curious why this is being drug out

I already have a tune from Evolution and a C&L, and I'm happy with it. All the big 4 tuners are very close based on the performance numbers people attain. I imagine if you moved from one tuner to another, you would not see much of a difference. They would both heat the air just as effectively.

what about the messuring the o2 in the exaust using an air-fuel monitor made by innovative motorsports that allows YOU to tune with a laptop just like costly shops?

I don't meen to sound like a d!ck, but I am going to. What is the point? I see people ranting and raving about who's tune is better and you want to shove a rectal thermometer up some poor mustang's @ss? A dynometer, and or a day at the track tells no lies. [sm=icon_blah.gif]

Wow... we've been having all these disussions about who the best tuner is, and all this time it would have be incredibly easy to figure all this out. In another thread, Knotband has determined that the work an engine is doing is described by the equation

Work = (mass flow of air) * (thermal capcity of air) (change in temperature of the air)

You can find this in the following thread
https://mustangforums.com/m_1564664/tm.htm

Now, he appears to be a really sharp mechanical engineer, so this must be right. So, all we have to do it measure the air temperature into our engine, and the air temperature out of our engine, and we will know whose tune is best. So..

1. Anybody have any ideas how to measure the temperature?
2. Anybody know where you measure the exit air temperature?

We could get a bunch of people who use different tuners to post their "air temperature rise" number, and track which tuner gets the largest temperature rise. Then, we could produce plots of "air temperature rise" vs. RPM and use these instead of dyno sheets.

What do you guys think?
