Theres a gas station less than a mile from my house that sells Torco 110 octane. They used to have Turbo Blue which was 115.

Well.. if your lucky enough to have some Sunoco GT 100 around (like me ) that seems to be the safest high octane fuel.

At any rate, I certainly wouldn't want to fill up a tank at that price lol

you wont knock with race gas, what the hell are you talking about? Race gas has a smaller chance of knocking than any lower octane gas. Race gas has very high octane levels which makes it harder to detonate thus less knocking...Isooctane is very compressable and less seseptable to heat than the other carbon chains in gasoline, making it harder to detonate. More octane means safer gas. That is why it is race gas. NO ADDITIVES.
But the issues with internal componets wear (sensors, cats, emissions, etc ) and the Fact that race fuel produces no more power than the (lowest grade fuel which does not produce knock).... well, is a waste of money to me!!!!
BTW Nascar is going to "Unleaded race fuel in 2008"..

i was in discount auto parts when i saw this additive, its suposed to up the octane in ur full tank by 14 points, it says it adds up to 25 hp in any vehicle... what couldn happen if i tried this in my stock 4.0???

+1 87 octane to 100+ octane will give no more HP, unless properly tuned.

I would imagine a tune would be needed to run anything over 100 octane.. (110/115) NASCAR uses 110 octane. (Leaded)
At any rate, I certainly wouldn't want to fill up a tank at that price lol
