Default Race gas in a 4.0? or additive?

i was in discount auto parts when i saw this additive, its suposed to up the octane in ur full tank by 14 points, it says it adds up to 25 hp in any vehicle... what couldn happen if i tried this in my stock 4.0???

You will retard / accelerate ignition of the particles before your internal combustion is ready.....

You will either run like crap.... or detonate...... to add race fuel to your system, a lot more has to happen to your tune....

BTW the race fuel will shorten the life of your O2 sensors.......

If I get my hands on the technical writing of octane calculation I will post it.....

Race gas is leaded, you CANNOT run it in cars with catalytic convertors. Itll plug em up. Just get the additive.

Not to mention the nozzle for the leaded gas wont fit into the spout for unleaded cars, the leaded one is a lot bigger.

you wont knock with race gas, what the hell are you talking about? Race gas has a smaller chance of knocking than any lower octane gas. Race gas has very high octane levels which makes it harder to detonate thus less knocking...Isooctane is very compressable and less seseptable to heat than the other carbon chains in gasoline, making it harder to detonate. More octane means safer gas. That is why it is race gas. NO ADDITIVES.

Well.. if your lucky enough to have some Sunoco GT 100 around (like me ) that seems to be the safest high octane fuel.

The additives, IMO, are bs.

Theres a gas station less than a mile from my house that sells Torco 110 octane. They used to have Turbo Blue which was 115.
