Default B&M Shifter

I just talked with Chris, with B&M Racing about the new B&M Auto Shifter they are working on and it will work on our V6 autos as well.

He is starting to take names of those interested. You can read about it here http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showth...ighlight=b%26m

Here is a pic of it:

Awesome! they're getting close enough to take names. I've been doggin the thread over at the Source everyday waiting for this mod to come out. I'll be a blast to play with this baby, but also really help to those of us who have gotten bit by the "open track" bug. It will allow manual shifting of our automatic without worrying about shifting too far. Thanks for the update.

Im just wondering what do you do with this shifter, do you shift it like a tiptronic tranny?

No, it doesn't change the shifting pattern. It's a replacement for the stock shifter. But it has positive stops for upshifting and downshifting, so you can't accidentally overshift like you can with the stock shifter. Hopefully it'll improve the looks too.

It functions the same as the B&M Mega shifter, when in Ratchet mode all you do is bump the shifter forward or backward to shift gears up and down manually like a manual tranny. You can not over shift into reverse or park when it’s in ratchet mode, normal mode lets you shift the auto as you normally would for daily driving.

So a manual style **** fits on it? You just put the shifter in low 1 and slap it to go into the next gear? Does it have a trigger to let it go down into the low gears? Did Adam & Eve have belly buttons?

You just slap it backwards to down shift. When you pull it back or push it foward it automaticly centers itself example start in 1st slap it foward it goes into 2nd slap it foward again 3rd and so on same works for down shifting.

Yes, a manual tranny stick **** will fit on it (assuming it's threaded the same, or universal fit). There's no trigger on it, but in order to get it from reverse to drive you have to lift it over a gate and pull back. This gate prevents accidentally shifting into neutral or reverse on upshift.

I've been waiting for this item, I don't care for the OEM shifter for the automatic.
