Racing stripes should really add a contrasting color to the body paint. Therefore, you need to add a color stripe that is a way different shade than the base color. Dark Blue with black will barely be noticeable while the lighter blue (chidrock) is more apparant. Just like with my car I doubt yellow stripes would look good on a white car but they would add quite a bit to a black car.
