It's so much easier, it fits your hand like a pistol grip and when you angle it slightly it really makes your 2/3 shift much more positive, you should try it!

Well that's awesome! I'll have to try that as a mod when I get the dough. I'm going to try to do a mod a month if I can afford it (with the smaller less expensive mods anyway!). I'm not going to be able to throw a supercharger on it as my monthly mod unfortunately. [8D]

MAC first, maybe this next. Seems awefully expensive though for a shifter. The one I lookd at was on MustangTuning.com I believe and it was $230+. I think it was a Steeda short throw shifter.

I'm not very mechanically inclined usually. Is the install easy to do, or should I take it to a shop and have them do it for me in an hour? I doubt the shop I go to would charge me much for that as I've been a good customer to them in the past.

I'm not sure I'll go with a T-handle. I've thought about it though! I kinda like the Roush looking handle. I don't really like that it says Roush on it though since my car isn't Roush. I just like the shape of those handles. That or a round one like the Mach1 has.

Great! Thanks!

How many shifters out there work with the 06 model? I'm seeing all the ones I've heard of before (Tri Ax, Pro 5.0, etc). I've only see one that specifically says 2005+. I'm looking on stangshifters.com now and I just started browsing their product list.

OK - I see there are specific ones for 2005-2006 of the ones I mentioned. Why the heck are they so much more expensive than the ones for the 99-04? Is it just because the 2005+ models are the new cars so they charge more, or is there some added functionality they have to throw in there? Dang that's expensive. [:-]

Edit - Found some more: http://www.v6mustangstuff.com/05Drivetrain.htm
Some of these aren't as expensive. Does anyone have experience with these shifters?
