Default Flowmaster American Thunder installed, pics, and question

Got the axleback in today, here's some pics.

Okay, here's the issue, it sounds great at idle, and up through the beginning of third, very nice. Then it RATTLES LIKE CRAZY at 70mph. NOT HAPPY about that. I can't tell what's going on though, I got under the car again a few minutes ago, and everything seems good and tight. Squeaky-squeak rattle-rattle. Almost sounds like styrofoam squeaking in a box, followed by a spring door stop being kicked on the wall. Drives me crazy, and it's been on for a total of 30 minutes of drive time now. Any ideas?

I don't know, I don't think so though, it seems to happen only over 70mph. Wonder how I could tell without having to take it all back out again.

when mine was installed my muffler guy just hit the muffler and all the piping with his fist not hard but hard enough to let it move a little and then he taped a magnet to a stick and pulled the little metal pieced out with it that went in while installing

That's not a bad idea. I just went out and ran it hard again, it rattled a little twice - once when I got on it at 70, and again at 70mph or so. Maybe it's a little "sprung" on those rubber mounts... I am gonna hope it settles some.

I'm liking the sound other than the rattles

No rattles this morning on the way to work. I guess the lesson here to be learned is, those rubber brackets might bind a little, and it takes a little while for themselves to straighten out.. I really enjoy the sound in third gear at about 60 mph... like the acceleration too

Butt dyno says there is a little difference in low to mid range torque, but it flattens out pretty much once I get higher in the rpm's. Maybe a shortcoming of the factory airbox? THe motor feels like it wants to give me a little more up there, just one of those little "feeling" things.. Guess a tuner is going to be next for me... And the never ending cycle begins... hope I win some money at the casino this weekend.

Mine made a similar sound the first couple days...my buddy said that as a general rule of thumb, it takes about 500mi to fully break in the muffler...after that, if the sound continues, get it checked

This muffler is going to get me into trouble

THis morning on the way to work, traffic looked clear going up to the interstate, so I got on it on the on ramp.... It must have been pretty loud, because I backed off short of 70, and looked back to see a state trooper in the traffic behind me. He jumped up next to me and I looked over and he was yelling at me with his windows rolled up. Innocently, I rolled my window down and said "excuse me?" and he started yelling at me to watch how I drive my car. I just knew I was gonna get a ticket.

Mental note to self: take it easy!

The sound is really beginning to grow on me. Rattles happen less frequently now, at about 72 mph.
