I'm actually very happy with stock, I saw a guy roaring into the freeway on an 06 PP about a year ago, I was driving my PP nearby him sounds great and knowing that I'm IN that exact car and I own it! lol.

But I'm planning on putting duals on for looks some day, so it'll definitely change the sound anyway. no hurry.

Oh yeah I drove the 08 auto GT the other day, that thing is kinda loud.. wonder if it'd give me headaches. nice interior though, black on black on red.

Upgrading to even a single GT take-off is a huge improvement over the stock V6 one. I had mine on for almost 2 years and it gives it a much nicer tone to it. If you got one at a decent price, good for you. The install is pretty easy too.

I've got my take offs from my auto that I was going to ebay just to get rid of them. But it sounds like no one will want them.

I have a single stock exhaust with a FRPP M-5230-GTA, technically a take-off because a GT guy had it on his for a few thousand miles. It works and sounds good. No interior drone, barks authoritatively at WOT. Makes the sensory Mustang experience Much Better.

That, a K&N drop-in air filter, and BAMAchip's performance tune via SCT x-3, netted 194.6 RWHP and 225 TQ on JBA's dyno.

I think a GT take-off muffler of either stripe is a change for the sake of change, to be followed eventually by a more performance-oriented item. Leave out that step, and get a lower-restriction muffler you won't want to replace later on. Forego current pleasure for future gains.

How difficult is it to swap the V6 muffler with the GT takeoff? Is it an easy swap? Do you need a car jack to make the change?
