Default B&M Automatic Shifter

Hey I was just looking at the newest updates on the thread and I was just wondering how much you think it would cost to install? And how much do you think this unit is going to cost?

I will be getting one when they are available. I imagine that unlike the manual, the automatic should be pretty much a bolt in from the top and connecting a cable or two. There is the issue of hooking up the overdrive switch (there appears to be a small button on the shifter console).

Good question, we'll have to wait for one of the "tech gurus" to offer some tips.

Where is the thread on the auto shifter? The search feature is almost useless on forums. I don't really care too much for this black hunk of plastic they call a gear shifter, hopefully the B&M's are better quality and appearance. I wouldn't thind it should be to hard to install yourself, I have done several other cars, man and auto both in just a few hours. The man was a little more difficult because I had to set the stops, but still not that bad.

I completely agree! The black piece of plastic crap of a shifter has to go! Since I have the '05 it doesn't have the silver shaft like the '06. It just looks junky. Does anyone out there have a link to what this new auto shifter looks like/costs?

I'm guessing the price will be comparable to their Quicksilver consol shifter, that one retails for around 210 bucks.

Here is a quote from that thread by subzero05.

I am predicting about a 1-2 hr job with a lift. You will need to get the car up in the air to access the trans box etc and swap the shifters. I will know more once we do an install etc.
I will defiantly be getting this shifter, I have had both the Quick Silver shifter and Mega shifter in other cars I had and they were great.

Yup! This is going to be a fun add-on when it comes out. Subzero even mentioned the possibility of a price break for the loyal fans who have followed his efforts to bring this to market. We owe him big time for selling his bosses on the marketability. Let's not let him down when the chance to buy comes.
