Default Clutch seems softer

I have a 05 V6 manual vert with 11000 miles on it. Up until about 1000 miles ago I notice that the clutch had a more solid engagement from 1-2 and a little less from 2-3. I used to have to make an effort to get a smooth shift from 1-2(which bothered the wife more than me when she rode along). Now I've noticed that the clutch seems soft in all gear changes now. Has this been the experience of many of you out there? I've been to the track once with 7 passes and a hard launch on the street every now and then, but I'm not racing it every other day.

Default RE: Clutch seems softer

where does the pedal engage? if its at the top of the stroke meansyour clutch is near worn out.. slipping clutch test (as by ford) level ground.. put in 4th gear.. rev up to 2500rpm, and just let clutch go, if you stall, your clutch is still good, if it dosnt stall.. lol you need a new clutch..

and if you are a do it yourself kind of guy, and have access to a lift, or even just ramps.. a lift it would take you about 30 minto dropthe transmission.. it would take a bit longer with ramps, because of the ackwardness towork, and supporting the transmission on removal

to remove our transmissions , its soo dumb and easy, its rediculous

Default RE: Clutch seems softer

I went out this morning and gave it the test that you suggested, and it looks like the clutch is going to be fine. I can also still chirp the tires pretty good in 2nd, so I guess the clutch is just smoothing out a little.
Thanks for the info. I'll keep this little clutch test in the back of my mind for down the road.
