RE: squeezing a 5.4liter in?
Lol... that's true. Like I said I would personally wait until the Boss 330 comes out, which is around the same time as the Shelby GT 500. It has a 5.4L with 375 HP (most likly not to the wheels though lol) It's gonna be around the same price as a brand new GT maybe a little bit more but not much.

Is the 3v triton 5.4L the same as what they are putting in the boss or the gt500? I believe they are 4v, if I am not mistaken, I have also been looking at some 5.0L strokers, but you guys may be right about installation problems. I have done some engine swaping before, but it was on late 80's trans am's I switched a 5.0 to a 5.7 and installed the fuel injection from the 5.0 to the 5.7. Took me about 3 weeks in my spare time, but the blocks are pretty much the same, and didn't have to swich much out. I had bought a 454 to put in there, but sold it after I found out that I was gonna have to start cutting into stuff to get it to fit. I hear that the 5.4L is a tight squeeze and not much room to work with. Well, I gotta goto work, guess I will talk with my buddy tonight a little more about it and see if he had a chance to get any more info on the price an fitment info. Later

it is going to cost you a rediculous amount of money. If you want to make some mean NA power and you have the cash, you should seriously consider just building up the 4.0. 4.5 stroker when it comes out, head work, custom cams etc. etc. You could make a damn good amount of hp with that setup and if you really want to make some major power, do the previously stated and throw on some f/i. It would all probably end up being about the same as a motor swap maybe a little more, and you could make tons of power. You would probably be able to get a sponsorship also if you were doing all this work and save some cash, maybe make some at shows and photo shoots. I am sure modified mustangs and other mags would put in an all motor 05-06 beast

The cool thing is that it has a 6 speed and since it has that you could put maybe a 4.10 gear or more on it and you'll be able to take the camero, which has a 3.73 gear. It's gonna be sweet, major competition between Mustang, Camero and Challenger!

LoL, I don't know about the name of the camEro lol but I think the Boss 330 is going to be around the same as brand new ('06) GT which MSRP's that I saw were around $33,00 for nice ones... I'm not sure if the Boss is replacing the GT or is just going to be an add-on. I wouldn't imagine it being too much more than an '06 GT but I'll try to find that info out unless you beat me to it. I have a motor trend subscription so I'll let you know if I find anything in the mags I have or any that I get in the near future.
