To name my Stang..
So how did you guys choose a name for your stang?
I mean like Blazen's Lola, or The Mistress.....To name a few (theres more, I just cant think of them)
I heard naming cars/boats after ex's or whatever is a bad idea...
So basicaly I'm just asking for ideas as how to name my stang.

RE: To name my Stang..
My "rules" for naming are mostly simple:
1) Cars get girls' names
2) Cars' names should be an alliteration with the model name
3) The name should have a) some sort of nostalgicly lustful association, or b) seem really appropriate to the car itself.
My only exception to #2 was my previous Jag X-Type, as I couldn't think of a good "X" name, but she was definitely a "Jessica" to me.
My first car was my mom's dumpy '80 Malibu wagon, which I named the "Blue M'bu". Didn't quite have the rules down yet; I was only 17 after all...
Over the last 20 years, there was "Theresa" Tempo, "Cathy" Contour, "Rhonda" Ranger, "Jessica" Jaguar...
Now I have "Wilma" Windstar, and, of course, "Miss Margaret" Mustang. The latter is a particularly nerdy reference that (likely) no-one here will actually get... (hint: they're both animated characters ) But it works well w/o knowing that, I think.

RE: To name my Stang..
mine just refers to the licence plate name I came up with. It was my 6th choice though. Being female, I would feel awful funny refering my car to a "girls" name. I sometimes refer my car to Mr. Mustang.

RE: To name my Stang..
The mustang seems to look more manly and angry than most cars, so a female name wouldn't be right. For some reason I looked at my car and it screamed "Bocephus" (Hank Williams Jr's nickname).
It stuck.
