Default Airaid CAI Need Advice

Alright I just bought the Airaid CAI for my 06 V6 Mustang. When I install it will my check engine light come on and if so is it safe to run or should I get the tuner right away. Do I even need a tuner rigt now? Is it cheaper to go and get the tune done by a professional or buy it myself. The xcalibur only gives me three tunes at the most and I plan on doing some more work. Ive heard of other people using them and I know how they work but other than that Im clueless. Is it easy to do? I emailed Airaid support and asked them and someone said to take off the negative wire on the battery to reset computer before installing. I was under the impression when I bought it that it wouldnt need it but idk from reading other posts. When it comes to a cars computer and tuning Im getting into foreign territory and Im a little weary about doing anything without all the facts. Any help would be great, thanks.

If the company says you don't need to retune it then it sould be alright. As far a tunning it, I would do it proffesionally(?). You can probably get more out of the car by spending some time on a dyno and tunning it.
