Anyone running this in thier rear end? I still get a fair bit of whine in my rear end due to my suspension upgrades, and read that this stuff may help a little.

Anyone know the story behind this stuff, better, same.....good bad, etc.

I had it put in a couple months ago and it definately helped with the whine, although not completely. Other than that i cant notice a difference.

I have it in mine, and didn't notice much difference. I think my whine is coming from the Motive gears. I have 4.10's intalled with the T-Lok, and it whines under light throttle. I have about 8,000 miles on it with no problems. I heard the whine comes from the heat treat of the gears. The harder the gear, the more whine you will hear. You still need to have the backlash and pinion bearing setup correctly, but it may have some whine.

Hope this helps!

I seen on horsepower tv that they substituted the oil, tranny, and gear fluid with Royal Purple and achieved 7HP just from the fluids ability to decrease friction. It was not done on a Mustang but the principal still holds. If you change let us know your results from the track.

I switched to Castrol Syntec. 5w 30 I think?

Anyways, I am still a little new to synthetic oils. I looked in the manual and it says to change the oil every 5000 miles. The oil change place said it is 3000. Can I not use regular oil at all and just use synthetic oil every 5000 miles and still be covered under the warranty?

Also, I did notice a difference with the synthetic, but I was thinking about using Mobil1, is it any better than Castrol?

With regular oil i would change it every 3000 miles but with synthetic you should be fine at 5000 since it doesnt break down as fast.
