Default I finally saw the hertz Shelby

At a hotel my wife and I are staying at. We drove in last night and as I unloaded the luggage I saw it. It was late and dark and I was tired so i went to bed. Well, the next morning(today) I got up, had my cup of joe, and went down to see if it was still there. It was. I could not wait to get on here and tel you guys. It was really cool. If it comes back I will snap some pics with my cell phone.

I realized a few things though as I looked at it.

First. Mods done to cars that may not look cool in a photo, DO look cool up front while viewing the car in person. The grill on the hertz shelby looked VERY cool. One I would have NEVER thought of as being mean looking. Same with the hood pins it had. And the side scoops. I now learned that photos do not do justice to what something looks like for real. Now I am thinking about the billet grill it had LOL.

Anyway, thought about you guys and thought you guys would want to know

The New Modified Mustangs September Issue has a great feature on the Hertz Shelby. It tells you all the mods that were done, the history behind the original done in 1966, and all the Cities you can rent one in. After Hertz is done renting them they will sell them back to Ford Dealers for re-sale to the public most likely at a significant mark up. The 66's mostly all sold below retail value when they hit dealerships in 1967! Not these models. They are instant classics.

That is a real nice looking front grill. Does anyone know how much they are?
