Default Low RPM Vibration - JBA Single Axle Back

I installed a JBA Evol Axle Back about a month ago and am very happy with the sound it gives off.

However I notice at low speeds, low RPMs, in 5th gear (automatic) when applying a little gas I get a low metallic vibration. I also hear this in 1st gear when easing away from a stop when the light turns green. If I step on it, I don't notice it. I had the dealer install the exhaust vibration damping kit per the TSB before the muffler install, so I know that's not the problem. I've checked all of the hangers and the clamp on the muffler.

Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions?

My true duals vibrate at idle on the drivers side, the muffler tip hits the fascia.

Plenty of clearance on mine, so I don't think that's it.

Thanks for the help. I think maybe I just don't have it fit tightly over the exhaust pipe. Tonight, when I had it in gear with the brake on and gave it some gas until it started rattling, my brother applied pressure to the chrome extension and the problem went away. I think I just need to put a tighter fit on it.

I had a similar problem, and got some great help on here. Turned out that the bolts that hold the hangers onto the car worked their way ack loose and the washers would vibrate LOUDLY at certain speeds and engine loads. Tightened them back up, no more rattle.

lol i was just baout to mention the washers.. it was my issue with my gt takeoff.. like the hangars would still be tight, but not enough to keep the washers tight.. make sure you use some lock tight. because they will back off again if you dont

I checked the washers. All the bolts were good and tight.

I noticed that the muffler was not as far up on the exhaust pipe as the factory muffler had been. I totally removed the muffler and forced it as far as possible onto the exhaust pipe, secured the C clamp and reattached the hangers. Had one heckuva time getting the rear one back on, but it's centered, tight and not rattling in the least.

Advice to future installers: Make sure the muffler is as tight as possible on the pipe and put your C clamp on before attaching the hangers.

I really love the sound of the JBA.

Welded my JBA muffler on. No clamp.

No vibration and I would suggest welding instead of the dreaded exhaust leak clamp.

Ohh, and hey everyone. /wave
