The 268 hp Camry also starts at $25,000 bare bones with no options, and goes well into the 30's. So for that kind of cash you're talking GT prices anyway. If I had that kind of money, I still wouldn't get one.
EXACTLY!!! Based on price the Camry really needs to be compared against the GT... NOT the V6... LOL!
Still.. it's a little depressing when you compare the names. I mean.. it's a CAMRY! Any mustang should be able to outrun a Camry.

Well crap, here are the stats on the new camry:

"3.5 liter V6 that produces 268 hp and 248 lb ft of torque"

Still though, a blown V6 should have no problem with it.

Did it have a body kit, a tire package, anything indicating it was modded?

Now.. why a blown V6 could barely edge out a intake/tune/exhaust camry... I'm a little worried. [>:]
indeed...

That might put him close to 300 at the flywheel, but your vortech should have you at nearly that if not more to the rear wheel. And your TQ should kill his, besides, that is if he got lucky. Did you race him from a dig?

That really don't sound right though. You have a Vortech with how much to the wheels?

Send that 4-door grocery getting camry Scrming or my way, we will wipe the pavement with it. I'd like to see one stage at the track next to me, from a dig, and watch it wheel hop down the track in my rear view.
