I'm pretty sure the RX-8 got a quarter mile time in the high 14's at best with a good driver. You might be able to take it but I think it would be pretty good stock race! Just get a turbonator... like one of those Air Razors and get a bunch of NOS and other sponsorship stickers and you could take him LoL

dont race him froma roll. You should manhandle him from a dig though....atleast thats the way its panned out for me. The RX-8 isnt a straight line car honestly..its more ment for cornering and spirited driving.

my buddy got a red rx-8 about three or four months ago. I rode in it, and it takes off. I got my v6 in april and wanted to race him just to compare. we didnt get to race till mid may when he got back from college. funny thing is, when he came back home he had put 20" chromes with black accents on em. So i said hell.....he just put some more weight on it, let's race. Long story short...............he kicked my a**......with 20's on.

Stock the manuals run a 14.5 with a really good driver. You can beat him from a dig with a ton of bolt ons, otherwise I would pass.

Note that this is a six-speed manual, the 02-04 autos are significantly slower, due to the 4-sp and 40 less hp. The 05-06 autos have 15 more hp and more importantly a 6-sp,, so their performance is obviously better. I think you'd kill an 03-04, an 05-06 may be a race though.

The same C&D got a 15.3@91 on a 4.0 Mustang auto, so we're right there.
