Talk me out of it.

RE: Talk me out of it.
I went the OTHER WAY!! I rid myself of a 98 Camry in favor of a new 2006 Performance White Pony Edition Mustang. The V6 gets close to 30 mpg hwy and something less than that in the city. Still, if you already HAVE THE MUSTANG and you're gonna BUY a new car, how much better gas mileage would you have to get to make up for the money you spent on buying the new car?? Most financial gurus would tell you that the cheapest car you'll ever have is the one you're driving now. Stay with the 'Stang.

RE: Talk me out of it.
If you are worried about big oil then just dont buy gas from exxon/mobile. Thats what I do. Be sure to tell everyone else to do the same.
Obviously everyone can't go without buying gasoline period but half the population not buying from the largest oil company will def make a dent. They'll have no choice but to lower prices in order to compete in which the other oil companies will have to do the same.
You should def try my method before getting rid of the stang..

RE: Talk me out of it.
man....keep your stang and get a japanese motorbike, here are the reasons:
not too expencive for nice ones
much faster than the stang
better mpg than the yaris
oh...and a lot of cool factor
and if you are thinking "but a bike is dangerous"...dont tell me you would feel safe in that pop can of a car

RE: Talk me out of it.
Gas prices were THE REASON I dumped my 14mpg '01 Durango. I was way upside down, but I get the same mileage per tank at about $25 less, and pay about $100 over that for a 75K mile warranty.
