v6 track dissapointment again!
I put this in the wrong place (appearance ) before
I went back to the track last night to test my new mods (3:73 t-loc-mac shorty headers) using the C&L/SCT2. The best I could pull was a 15.2! And this was using the 92 tune! ( I had only got 15.5 with the 87 tune before headers and t-loc) 60 foot times were the same as every other run I had. long smoky burn outs were no help. To get the 15.2 I had to increase the timing, shift pressure (which did nothing to help the shifts) and lean out the AF ratio, still it coughs through the intake. I forgot to bring my microtuner and S&B intake so I couldn't compare, but I installed them last night when I got home and the car is a rocket now, shifts are very hard and it pulls like it should. FYI, my best time with the microtuner, before the t-loc and headers was 15.1. I am really dissapointed in the SCT2 and C&L, it cost a fortune. To be fair I am going to send it back to Brennspeed and have it checked out, 'cause, to me, it's the same as stock.
I would like to know if anybody can post their timeslips of a 2005-2007 v6 mustang with the SCT2/C&L combo? I want to know what others are getting, because I am really thinking my tuner has no tune!

RE: v6 track dissapointment again!
first off if you are using street tires , dont use the water box go around it or after you go thru it just do a quick spin to get the water and junk off. i am running g-force ta radials on mine and i get better launches when they are cold. if i heat them up they turn to mush and spin. second lower the pressure on the rear to around 28 lbs and run 45 in the front. i cant launch any higher than 1200 rpm or i just spin also. my sig has my best 1/8 mile times so far.

Thanks for the info, my launches are very consistent, I took the advice of rygenstormloc, based on his experience with the nittos I am running. With the SCT it makes no difference if I launch from idle or 1800, it caughs through the intake, the microtuner does not do that.
