I'm pretty sure mine is the fastest on here...im packing a stock 4.0L and no mods yet 
just kidding but i can input on some good brands ive been told about to help power your car.
Your gonna wanna start with Intake and exhaust. Theyre the simplest yet effective mods at first then work you way up depending on your funds
Exhaust - Simple GT Take Off, MRT, Borla, JBA, Magnaflow and Flowmaster.
Tuner/Intake Combos - SCT Tuner and S&B or C&L Intake. Or other intake brands K&N, AFE, MRT, MMR
Then you can get Headers, 3.73/4.10 gears, T-lok stuff like that

i say get some good info about parts and quality from other people
BUT GO YOUR OWN WAY ON THE MODDING
do your research and learn about what parts suit you best
you should prob start with
1. an axelback exhaust system if your on a budget or duals if you want to go crazy
2. a cai and a tuner
after these you start to get the bug and you cant stop

fastest ive seen timeslips for, for a privately owned 4.0 is rygen using a turbo, at 13.08.
scrming is a close 2nd using 125shot of nitrous.
they are both automatics.
n/a is a diff story, not too sure there....

Powerhouse and Pauls High Performance are the fastest shop owned cars. Both are in the 11's. The Powerhouse car is a street legal turbo'd car, the PHP car is a Vortech SC with juice and striped down for the track with slicks.
