1991 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 5.3 13.8
1992 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 5.8 14.3
1993 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 5.3 14.0
1994 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 5.7 14.2
1995 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 5.4 13.5
1997 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 4.8 13.6
at worst they would be low 14's accounting for the fudge factor on http://www.albeedigital.com/supercou...0-60times.html
just add a bit more boost and you could easily get high 13's consistently...

again, stop magazine racing.
and "stock" is not adding a lil more boost and exhaust and intake.
I went to the trackc with a guy with a 98 vr4 that couldnt get into the 14s to save his life. Not everyone is a professional driver. Sure i bet someone can run 13s in a vr4 in a perfect ideal situation, but i can guarantee 95% of the owners can not.
You can always tell the track rookies to the vets...
i know all about modded ones, as ive been helpin a friend build his 3.2 stroker vr4. 38psi, twin turbo, awd, built trans, driveshaft, axles, full titanium exhaust, the works. When we get it dynoed we are expecting around 750-850awhp. He's dumped about 75k into this car.

The 05+ mustangs are said to run 13.5 which is under the best conditions. There are people on here that can run low 14's consistently. 13.5 may be possible on both the Mustang GT and the Vr4 but are not realistic.
I said adding a little more boost would get them into the high 13's. A magazine would say low 13s or 12s.
Either way a Vr4 will walk a V6 mustang (period)

you are arguing my point, and i wasnt responding to your post. i know adding boost would get htem in the high 13s consistently, thats what i was sayin too.
Yes if someone asked me what a 2005 mustang gt runs, i would say around 14 flat. And v6s i would say mid 15s. Now if someone asked me what MY v6 ran stock thats diff, because i ran low 15s, but ive seen stock ones stuck in the 16s.
I smoked the vr4 that i went to the trackc with, but he was running 15.4, i ran a 14.6 against him on that run. And my r/t was bout .4 better, so it was pretty emberassing.

I don't think I said 'stock' was added boost, exhaust and intake! I also don't think car that the mags can run 13's in should be called a mid 15 second car even if the average person can't run a mid to high 13 in them. Since your buddy has one he should shead some light for you.. Hell, about all one has to do to those 3si is look cross-eyed at them and they'll make more HP. And one last thing; so you found some NO DRIVER in a VR-4 and you made a nice kill. Sorry but that doesn't make TT/RT or VR-4 ALL mid 15 second cars!
The original question in this thread was was something like will my V6 Mustang be able to beat a Twin turbo Stealth. PLAIN AND SIMPLE ANSWER: NOT A CHANCE!
btw there are WAY more modded 3si out there then completely stock ones, becareful which one you call out! 05SDI

RE: I saw a R/T Twin Turbo Dodge Stealth
You either have to compare by poptential or with equal drivers, the potential for a stock Stealth R/T TT/ 3000 VR4 is within the car to run low 14's. The potential for our cars stock is low 15's, dipping into high 14's. Like you said there are 16 sec slips posted but that's no more indicative of our cars potential then a 15.6 is of the Stealth tt.
If you saw a Stealth tt/ 3000 VR4 run a 15.6 it was either an awful driver who missed 2nd, he had a few bowling ***** in his trunk, or something was wrong with the car. I'm not saying you didn't see a 15.6, i've seen GT's run 17's because the guy couldn't shift well, but don't think that time is where 95% of Stealth R/T tt's/ 3000 VR4's run. And I'm not tal;king mag times, look at the Stealth boards and there are many many stock low 14 slips from individual people.

ya im sure if i went behind the wheel of his vr4, id easily clock off low 14s or high 13s, but some people plain and simple dont like to abuse or push their cars.
With the same driver does a stock v6 stang stand a chance against a stockc vr4 or rt/tt? hell no. But the only way ur gonna turn out a good time with a vr4, is with a 5k rpm drop, just like an evo8, or sti. If you try to 2k rpm them out of the whole, its gonna be close

RE: I saw a R/T Twin Turbo Dodge Stealth
i hate to argue with you about this fazm, because you have been very helpful to me on many occasions and you are very knowledgable, but you can't say a car that is capable of low 14's is a mid 15 second car. That is like saying the 06 sti is a mid 14 second car. The reality is, yes that is what some ****ty drivers will get, but the vr4 is a low 14's car and the new sti is a low 13's car. I know for a fact a stock vr4 is very capable of low 14's because my friend ran a 13.7 with a tune, while i was there. and it is pretty much impossible to drop a second and a half from a tune, even on a boosted car. When you say something about a car being a ___ second car, everyone knows you are talking about the potential of the car, not what a mediocre driver will get.
