Weird shifter question.

Weird shifter question.
Has anyone noticed that ona manual, whrn you put it in fifth, it goes along for a minute or two, and then there's a little "tok!" noise, and the shifter slieds back about 1/2" of an inch? If you hold it up into fifth, it will oush back into your hand.

I know what your talking about my car did it when I first got it. Not 1/2" though. Then Ford ended up the tranny and replaced one or two synchros. Don't know if it still does it now or not.

i have a manual tranny nothing like that yet, but dont forget to turn off the traction control when doing burn/peel outs.
not that i do that a lot. until i have a sig my ride......
