warranty what would you do
Hey everybody this is how it goes. Two days after I bought my new mustang with leather interior I noticed a small razor type slit in my seat. I called the saleman just to verify that it wasnt caused from me and I would like it looked at. This dealer is around 125 miles from me so it is hard for me to get in to them. Anyways three months has passed and i finally got it in. Keep in mind that this was a small slice really unnoticeable but i was worried about it getting worse. So this is how it goes I get there and they have some rinky dink outfit repair my seat and it looks like sh**. Looks like they sanded it down and melted it with my wifes curling iron. To me it appears they ruined my foam in the process. Now instead of a hardly noticeable slit I have a melted looking dip in my seat very noticeable. The service told me if I was unhappy to talk to sales apparently they werent impressed either. So I talked to my salesman and I asked him to order me a new seat and he replied its been three months. I stated to him that I called him two days after I bought and he agreed. The salesman sent me on my way and said he would get back to me.To make a long story short most dealers i've dealt with would have just ordered me a new seat to save the hassle. If I'd known it was going to look this bad after the repair I woulnt of had them touch it.Looks worst than it did.Just wanted your opinions on what you people would do any help greatly appreciated

RE: warranty what would you do
They should have just ordred a new cover and had an upholstery shop put it on .... you can even get brand new Leather Upholstery take-offs on eBay for a couple hundred bucks ...
