Gas being 10% ethanol wouldnt have anything to do with horrid gas milage would it? I'm curious to know if the people getting 19-20 or more MPG city have pure petrol 93 octane or blended gas? I'm getting like 16MPG city and 20 highway tops with blended 93 octane

Just tuned and put in my CAI but this tank doesn't really look much better :P little over half a tank left and a little over 100 miles

edit: if my gauge is true and I've actually burnt 8 gallons that comes to like 13 MPG, no way to know for sure til I fill it up and see what she takes though

i have heard that the ethanol burns quicker than gasoline, so it will effect it very slightly, nothing more than 1-2 mpg id think, definately not 8-10, i mean i use 87 with 10% ethanol (the normal stuff around here, and i think everywehre) and i get great mileage, i dunno why some people are getting 13-20mpg, i mean it could be all in the way you drive it and stuff, i usually shift from first to 2nd @ 3k, then 2nd to 3rd @ 2.5k, then 3-4 at 2k and 4-5 around 1.8-2k and stay in 5th most of the time im driving, but even when i do drive it hard, i can still manage 22+, but anyways, the guy said he was planning a road trip, so it would most likely be all highway, so expect in the upper 20's, or low 30s

idk, I'm an auto so shifting is pretty much irrelevant. Thing is though I tried a tank driving like a granny and still got 16.5MPG roughly. I dont think I drive it too hard, WOT maybe 2-3 times a week. Usually I keep it under 4k RPM though.

Then again I make 4 < 5 mile trips per day to makeup my milage, maybe being short trips just burns more gas. I'm driving to richmond again in a few weeks so lets see if things change any.
