I'm in Birmingham, about 1.5 hours south of you. There is a mustang club in the area. I have not gone to any meetings, but it seems pretty strong from their website. Do a google search, and you will find the info.

Not sure about what to do in huntsville, other than the space center, which is only good for a little time, and for when folks come to visit you.

There is the rocket city mustang club, but it seems to be just vintage mustangs, nothing wrong with that, just want the late models though.
ps, i should have some times posted saturday, hopefully!!

Welcome. I'm from Athens, 10 minutes west of you, but the wife and I grew-up in SE H'ville. As far as stuff to do, you have to drive hour-and-a- half north to Nashville or same to B'ham to enjoy anything (one reason we live close to I65). Always been that way. H'ville is gaining though. Used to be 20 years behind, now only 12. Because of Huntsville's last name "Alabama". Like a ball-and-chain.
The Mustang Club of Am. is holding a BIG get together at Barber Motorsports Park in a week or two. http://barbermotorsports.com/ Should be Mustang overload kind of day. VERY nice track and park. Owner used to drive for Porsche and made a fortune. Can't believe it is in Bama. We go for the Rolex Races in July. Nice place to take a family or a date. Or just go with your car.
