Newbie here. What's a TSB? My '05 is doing this and the link for the TSB is showing up dead.

I called the dealership again today. I brought to their attention the report that was sent to me in the mail stating there was no concern at this time, and emphasized the part where the tech had noted no TSBs.

I then told the service desk lady, "Now, that's not true, I have a TSB in my hand, 06-9-9." She said, "Okay, let me look that up," and I was then put on hold for two minutes. Then: "Okay, I had my service manager look that up, and he gave me the okay to order the part. We'll call you when it's in so we can have you bring the car in."

Thank you Stangrunner06, without the actual text I'm sure I would have had the runaround still.

Any of you folks have a problem with your throttle cutting out from accelerating from time to time? I've had it happen a few times to me and I'm taking the car into the dealership tomarrow to have it looked at.

It's only happened about half a dozen times since I got the car back in February, and it usually happens right after I come to a complete stop after sustained periods of driving, mostly stopping at the end of an exit ramp off the highway. I hit the throttle to turn onto the street and it'll go, completely cut out for a second, then go again, much like it wants to stall.

The lady at the local dealer's service dept. said she's never heard of anything like that before...

I had a simular problem after I installed my 70mm throttle body on my mustang. I didnt adjust the idel position correctly and I got no throttle responce. Its because the TPS "throttle position sensor" wasnt in the correct location, it will cause irratic idle at times too. I took it off and 5 min later after I had adjusted it to a more feasable position it worked fine.

i had this happen to me taking my daughter back college in February. the wrench light came on..thankfully i was able to pull over, turn the car off and restarted it. i called the service dept and they told me to bring it right in. they couldn't pull a code but the tech traced everything back to the throttle body...they ended up replacing the whole thing.

hope everything works out okay for you

Well I got the car back today after having the fuel pump replaced. So far no problems. We'll see how it goes!

Good luck. I've made several long trips (1-4 hour drives) since having my fuel pump replaced under the TSB 06-9-9 and so far I've had no hesitation when accelerating after exiting a highway and coming to a stop, etc. I'll feel 110% confident after perhaps just a few more long road trips, but for now, I am reasonably convinced the fuel pump replacement fixed my issue.
