Gas cap cover pushed in

Gas cap cover pushed in
I just noticed the other day that my gas cap cover is pushed in too far.... I think there used to be a rubber plug in there that the cover butt up against... now there is not one. Am I nuts? Was there a rubber stopper in there? If so, think this is something my ford dealer would have around??
And... if there is no rubber stopper.... why is my cover now appearing to be pushed in, and how do I get it to stay back out. It's not obvious.

LX,
No you are not crazy, and yes there used to be a rubber plug. Two, I believe. I knock one off almost every time I dry the car....
Yes, I dry under the gas door......

RE: Gas cap cover pushed in
I had to get new ones at the Dealership parts center. They call them "Bumper Assembly" (or at least the abbreviation they used means that I think?).
I've already had another pop off and get lost, but I had one last spare. I may order more just to have spares. These little buggers do not secure themselves as firmly as they ought to.
They were about a buck and a half or so each.
