MPG on a V6 Mustang
Do any of you guys actually get the 19 city mpg out of your mustang? I have a V6 5 speed an im getting like 15.6 avg. MPG - so says the "Info" button. What RPM do you guys shift at and what RPM do you cruise? Is there any other ways to improve the MPG?

I have an auto V6 that I drive mostly highway. I normally get about 21-22mpg combining highway and city. If i did strictly city, I'd be probably around 17-18 would be my guess just based on watching my gas gauge fall when I drive around town. What I will say is I swapped out my stock muffler with Flow AT's and I had a big jump in mpg. I'm pulling about 26-27 highway now and probably about 21-22 city. Gotta realize though that every engine runs differently. Someone on here may have lucked out and gotten a more efficient engine off the line than another. It's luck of the draw.

I can get 19+ in the city when I drive mellow, take off slow, shift at 2000 r's and cruise at about 1800. On the freeway if I keep it at or below 70 mph I get 30mpg if there aren't any hills.

this is a topic I like http://fueleconomy.gov Im averageing out 22hwy right now and that was on 92 octane performance tune.

I was getting high 15 low 16 in a stock auto, city / highway about 20 highway. Now i've got a tune and got low 16 city only. Hopefully I can put 100 miles or so on the highway this weekend and see where it is with tune / intake.
I did open it up a bit since this is my first tank with the tune, I'd imagine once I calm down a tad I'll get better MPG.
On a semi-related note, does anyone tend to rev their engine instead of honking whenever you get pissed at someone? I think thats a MPG killer for me..

Just got mine last saturday and I'm getting 24 just around town. ( I just went out and checked). Thats with Automatic and keeping the overdrive on but then again i've only been driving it for a week or so.
